Route 66 Association of Illinois The purpose of the Route 66 Association of Illinois is to preserve, promote and enjoy the past and present of U.S. Highway 66.

Route 66 Red Carpet Corridor Celebration 2007 was the first year of what is intended to be an annual event each May along the 90 mile corridor from Joliet to Towanda. It is hoped that Route 66 will come alive with festivals, with each community producing its own venue.
